PlayLimeade — unofficial companion app for micromobility
PlayLimeade shows you the dying shared scooters in Tel Aviv that may actually be worth the walk for a battery swap, where the swap stations are, and — while you ride — alerts you about dying scooters ahead of you. It does not count or log your swaps: the credit is paid inside the operator's app, and PlayLimeade is just a tool to save you money. It is unofficial: not affiliated with Lime or any operator. It never unlocks a scooter, never connects to your rider account, and does not know whether a station has batteries in stock.
The app covers Tel Aviv-Yafo and nothing else. Outside the city it shows a "Tel Aviv only" screen with a peek at the map, so you can see how a verdict looks before you are in town.
Some operators pay riders ride credit — at the time of writing, about 15 minutes — for taking a low-battery scooter to a swap station and swapping its battery yourself. PlayLimeade reads the operator's public vehicle feed, spots scooters with a low enough range to qualify, weighs how far you would walk against what the credit is worth, and gives you a plain verdict: grab it, meh, or skip. You still do the ride, the swap and the credit inside the operator's own app. Ours just tells you whether it is worth getting up.
The credit is the operator's to pay, change or stop, and the range cutoff is an estimate from what riders have reported. PlayLimeade never promises credit for a specific scooter — the verdict is our best read of the feed, not a guarantee. If the operator's app did not offer the swap bonus for a scooter we called worth it, tell us (contact below) and the estimate gets better. Your minutes live in the operator's app; PlayLimeade never counts them.
No. Station stock is not in any public feed; only the operator's own app shows it. Every station in PlayLimeade is shown as stock-unknown on purpose, and before a swap we tell you to check the station in the operator's app first.
Not as a native app. The same app runs in the browser at playlimeade.com and can be added to your home screen from Chrome.
To show what is near you and to measure the walk. Only while the app is open; it never asks for "Always" access. Without location it centres on Dizengoff Square and stops giving distance-based verdicts.
Optional. If you turn them on and set a home pin, we can nudge you when two dying scooters sit at a swap station within about 500 m of home. Nothing about stock, just that they are there. Separately, a ride session — "riding?" in the bottom bar, or it starts on its own when you are visibly riding with the app open — alerts you about dying scooters ahead while you ride, on your phone, with nothing sent to a server; it ends with "done" or after 35 minutes standing still.
Email us from your phone, with the handle you set if any, and everything keyed to your device is removed. Details in the privacy policy.

PlayLimeade מראה לכם את הקורקינטים הגוססים בתל אביב שאולי באמת שווה ללכת אליהם בשביל החלפת סוללה, איפה עמדות ההחלפה, ותוך כדי רכיבה מתריעה לכם על קורקינטים גוססים לפניכם. היא לא סופרת ולא רושמת את ההחלפות שלכם: הקרדיט משולם בתוך האפליקציה של המפעיל, ו־PlayLimeade היא רק כלי שחוסך לכם כסף. היא לא רשמית: לא קשורה ל־Lime או לכל מפעיל אחר. היא אף פעם לא פותחת קורקינט, לא מתחברת לחשבון הרוכב שלכם, ולא יודעת אם יש בעמדה סוללות במלאי.
האפליקציה מכסה את תל אביב–יפו ותו לא. מחוץ לעיר היא מציגה מסך "רק תל אביב" עם הצצה למפה, כדי שתראו איך נראה פסק דין עוד לפני שאתם בעיר.
חלק מהמפעילים משלמים לרוכבים קרדיט נסיעה — נכון לעכשיו, בערך 15 דק׳ — על לקיחת קורקינט עם סוללה חלשה לעמדת החלפה והחלפת הסוללה בעצמכם. PlayLimeade קוראת את פיד הרכבים הציבורי של המפעיל, מאתרת קורקינטים עם טווח נמוך מספיק כדי להיות זכאים, שוקלת כמה תלכו מול כמה שווה הקרדיט, ונותנת לכם פסק דין פשוט: קחו, ככה-ככה, או תוותרו. את הנסיעה, ההחלפה והקרדיט אתם עדיין עושים בתוך האפליקציה של המפעיל. שלנו רק אומרת אם שווה לקום.
הקרדיט הוא של המפעיל — הוא יכול לשלם, לשנות או להפסיק אותו, וסף הטווח הוא הערכה ממה שרוכבים דיווחו. PlayLimeade אף פעם לא מבטיחה קרדיט על קורקינט מסוים — פסק הדין הוא הקריאה הכי טובה שלנו של הפיד, לא ערבות. אם האפליקציה של המפעיל לא הציעה בונוס החלפה על קורקינט שאמרנו שהוא שווה, ספרו לנו (יצירת קשר למטה) וההערכה תשתפר. הדקות שלכם נמצאות באפליקציה של המפעיל; PlayLimeade אף פעם לא סופרת אותן.
לא. מלאי בעמדות לא נמצא בשום פיד ציבורי; רק האפליקציה של המפעיל מראה אותו. כל עמדת החלפה ב־PlayLimeade מוצגת בכוונה במצב "מלאי לא ידוע", ולפני החלפה אנחנו אומרים לכם לבדוק את העמדה באפליקציה של המפעיל קודם.
לא כאפליקציה מקורית. אותה אפליקציה רצה בדפדפן בכתובת playlimeade.com, ואפשר להוסיף אותה למסך הבית מ־Chrome.
כדי להראות מה קרוב אליכם ולמדוד את ההליכה. רק כשהאפליקציה פתוחה; היא אף פעם לא מבקשת גישה "תמיד". בלי מיקום היא מתמרכזת על כיכר דיזנגוף ומפסיקה לתת פסקי דין שמבוססים על מרחק.
אופציונליות. אם תדליקו אותן ותציבו סיכת בית, נוכל לתת לכם דחיפה קטנה כששני קורקינטים גוססים עומדים בעמדת החלפה במרחק של בערך 500 מ׳ מהבית. שום דבר על מלאי, רק שהם שם. בנפרד, ריצת רכיבה — "רוכבים?" בסרגל התחתון, או שהיא מתחילה לבד כשרואים שאתם רוכבים והאפליקציה פתוחה — מתריעה על קורקינטים גוססים לפניכם תוך כדי רכיבה, על הטלפון, בלי לשלוח כלום לשרת; היא מסתיימת ב"סיימנו" או אחרי 35 דקות של עמידה.
